Dear Blues Lovers!

My name is Przemek Draheim. Being a member of The Blues Foundation I am the host of a two-hour blues show on Radio Sfera — www.sfera.umk.pl — in Torun (Poland), the home of the annual two-day Torun Blues Meeting and the three-day Bydgoszcz Torun Harmonica Bridge. My radio show is titled „Głosem Bluesa” („The Voice of the Blues”) and it airs every Friday night at 10:00 p.m.

In addition, I host another blues and roots music show on Polskie Radio PiK — www.radiopik.pl — in Bydgoszcz (Poland). This show is called „Muzyka źródeł” („Roots Music”) and it airs every Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. Older episodes of both shows are available in the archive section.

My articles about music and CD reviews have appeared in various Polish magazines devoted to culture in general and blues in particular. These include the oldest Polish on-line blues magazine established in 2000, Blues.pl.

My goal is to show listeners that blues, soul, gospel or roots music should not be limited to just the big acts and popular artists. There are many interesting independent artists and labels who I would like to help become better known in Poland.
